Recently, I had the honour of accepting an invitation to give a keynote speech at the 5th Annual Children for a Better World conference for International Baccalaureate (IB) students worldwide. The conference aimed to unite students from diverse backgrounds and cultures under the shared goal of 'Navigating my Future'. My keynote speech focused on the importance of quality education as a key to making the UN Global Goals a reality. I shared with the audience examples of how young people are making a difference to the future of our world and how the IB Learner Profile attributes can empower young people to demonstrate the qualities of global citizens who work proactively to make our planet more peaceful, sustainable and fair.
