Focus On: Thriving as a new MYP Coordinator

This Think-In is designed for educators who are new to the MYP Coordinator role, or who have recently taken on responsibility for leading the programme in the last one or two years. Participants will explore practical strategies, tools and systems that help coordinators manage the programme effectively while supporting teachers and maintaining a focus on student learning. By the end of the Think In, participants will have a clearer understanding of the coordinator's role, key priorities, and practical approaches to leading curriculum implementation, assessment, and programme development.

Session 1: Understanding the Role and Setting Priorities Explore the responsibilities of the MYP Coordinator and identify the most important actions for success. Participants will examine practical systems for managing curriculum documentation, assessment processes, communication, meetings, and programme requirements while avoiding common pitfalls experienced by MYP coordinators.
