This Think-In is designed for MYP coordinators, subject leaders, and teachers who are preparing for the implementation of the Enhanced MYP. Participants will explore the key changes and consider their implications for curriculum planning, teaching and learning, assessment, and programme implementation. By the end of the Think In, participants will have a clearer understanding of the Enhanced MYP framework and practical strategies for adapting existing units to incorporate contextual lenses, MYP themes, revised approaches to ATL skills, concepts, and community engagement.
Session 1: Understanding the Enhancements. Explore the rationale behind the Enhanced MYP and examine the key changes to curriculum design and programme implementation. Participants will investigate contextual lenses, MYP themes, community engagement, and the evolving role of ATL skills and conceptual understanding. Practical examples will be used to illustrate how these changes strengthen inquiry and student learning.
