Focus On: Concept-Based Inquiry for MYP Language & Literature and DP/CP Language A

This Think-In is designed for MYP Language & Literature and DP Language A teachers who want to strengthen their understanding and implementation of concept-based inquiry in their classrooms. Participants will explore how a concept-based approach promotes deep understanding, critical and creative thinking, and the transfer of learning beyond individual texts and units of study.

By the end of the Think-In, participants will have a clearer understanding of the Structure of Knowledge and the Structure of Process, and how these frameworks support curriculum design, inquiry, and assessment. They will develop practical strategies for designing concept-rich learning experiences through the use of concepts, conceptual lenses, unit webs, and higher-order generalizations.
